Man’s disposition apart from God. This is a divine punishment from God. Man being in the state of depravity is as bad off as he can be. Man is worthless and spiritually corrupt apart from salvation. Gen. 2:16-17, Gen 3:7-24, Rom. 1:18-3:20
This is God’s response to man’s need. Born into this world spiritually dead. Man’s need was greater than man could meet. Ps51:5, John 1:13,17, Rom. 5:1-2, Rom.6:14,23
Substitution in the Christian Faith has to do with God providing what man cannot. IN this transaction, we did not and could not contribute in any way. Therefore, it would hole true that God is the sole contributor. Isaiah 53:4-10, John 10:11,15,17-18, John 11:50-51
This is the divine side of the work of Christ on the cross. Christ atoning death for sin altered the position of the believer in his or her relationship to God. 1John2:2, 1John 4:10, Rom. 3:24-25, Heb. 2:17
This is the atoning work of Christ at the price paid for man's redemption. The redemption He wrought manifests not only the love of the Son but also the love of the Father. John 3:16, Rom. 3:24, Rom.3:24-25, Rom. 5:8, Eph. 1:7
This doctrine means that God singled out certain ones from amount mankind, and ordained them unto eternal life before the world was created. The names of the elect were in the Lamb's book of life before the world was created.
Election is a foundational doctrine.
Election is a difficult doctrine.
Election is an important doctrine.
Election is a blessed doctrine.
Election is a distasteful doctrine.
Election is a separating doctrine.
And last it is a neglected doctrine.
The doctrine of election holds all the other doctrines in their place. Rom.8:29-30, Rom. 9:10-24, (Ps 5:5), Eph. 1:4, Rev. 13:8, Rev. 17:8
This doctrine means to be brought into right standing with God. Rom.5:6-11, 2Cor.5:18-19
"Once saved always saved" Once Jesus saves a person, Jesus keeps them saved. John 10:22-30 Rom. 8:35-39
The doctrine of imputation means to reckon over to one or to set down top one's account. Isaiah 53:4-5, 2Cor. 5:21, 1Pet. 2:24
This doctrine means to be set apart to God. Phil. 1:6, 1Cor.1:2,26-31
This doctrine is an acquittal from guilt of him who was accused. This is an act whereby God declares the sinner to be righteous or just before Him. Rom. 3:24, Rom. 5:1,9, Rom.8:31-34
This doctrine is the ultimate salvation of the whole person. This will be the believer's condition when he is with the Lord. Rom. 8:22-23, Rom. 8:29-30, Phil. 1:6, Phil. 3:20-21
